Meet Mrs. Hoppe

It is my joy and such a privilege to serve as the 2nd grade homeroom teacher at St. Mark.  I have been blessed so richly already by my time in Green Bay already and look forward to the seeing what God has in store for our church and school community.  I arrived at St. Mark in 2014 after serving six years in Miami, Florida at Divine Savior Academy as a third grade homeroom teacher.  Prior to living in Miami I taught third grade as well at Saint David School in Santiago, Dominican Republic.  I graduated from Concordia University Chicago (where I am originally from) in 2007 with a B.A. in Elementary Education with a emphasis in social sciences.  Being I graduated from an Illinois institution, my teaching license in from Illinois.  I am married to my husband, Ben.  His passion is in working for the National Park Service as a park ranger and his career has taken him to Rocky Mountain, Carlsbad Caverns, and Yellowstone.  He is currently working at UW-GB for a UW-Madison expansion program as the 4H  program developer for Brown County.  In the meantime, he awaits to see what God has in store for NPS permanent jobs.  Needless to say, we prioritize opting outside and traveling to all the amazing things God has created.  It is my main goal to guide the students as they work towards successfully preparing for third grade with valuing their increased independence and sense or self-worth through their hard earned accomplishments.  My door is always open and I look forward to working together to see the students reach their potential.
