I was born in Martin, Tennessee & grew up in Antioch, Illinois. I've spent most of my married life and teaching years in Wisconsin!
Eventhough I've been blessed with 40 years of marriage; I have only 30 years of teaching experience
. I have three adult children and five grandchildren!
I graduated from Doctor Martin Luther College, New Ulm, Minnesota in 1977 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education. I continued my education through Wisconsin Lutheran College for obtaining my WI state licensure from 2012-2015.
I enjoy singing with my husband and praise band, family time (especially with grandchildren), going to the movies or going on vacation! I love creative thinking: organizing special events & writing children’s stories and plays!
Favorite Bible Passage
Philippians 4:13 “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”
In difficult times, Paul knew he could do all things through Christ. This Bible verse has served as a personal theme for me and many kindergarteners through the years. Kindergarteners are always trying new things. Knowing that Jesus is their strength has given them confidence to try, to practice, and to succeed!
When I look back at the different places, people, and responsibilities God placed before me, Christ was always my strength and God blessed my service among His people. I know, with confidence, that whatever God has planned for my future, He will give me the strength to do it all for His glory! I pray that God will use me for many more years, to share the Good News of Jesus, my Savior, and my strength, this side of heaven!
