I am Marti Ellingboe, the first grade teacher. I have had the privilege of teaching at St. Mark beginning in 2013. I am blessed to teach children to love learning and their Savior. As the Reading Coordinator, I assist teachers and students in their endeavor to succeed in becoming avid readers. One way I accomplish this is through the Accelerated Reader program.
I graduated from Martin Luther College in 1985. I have continued my education by taking courses at the University of South Florida, Wisconsin Lutheran College, and Martin Luther College. One of my highlights each year is supervising a teacher candidate as they student teach in my classroom.
My teaching experience is as follows: (1985-1988) public schools in Brooksville, Florida, (1988-2006) Christ the Lord Lutheran in Clearwater, Florida, (2006-2013) St. John Lutheran in Wrightstown, Wisconsin, (2013-present) St. Mark Lutheran. I have taught in all grades, Kindergarten - 8th.
I have been happily married to Charles for 26 years. We are blessed to be the parents of four daughters. Two of them have followed in my footsteps and are now teachers. Two of them are currently in college.
I enjoy music. I direct the St. Mark choir, play organ, and accompany vocalists. My favorite pastime is reading.
