Mr. Kurt Gosdeck was born in New Ulm, MN to Pastor and Mrs. David Gosdeck. After one year in New Ulm. Mr. Gosdeck’s father was called to St. John Lutheran Church in Lake City, MN where he served as an associate pastor from 1971-1977. Mr. Gosdeck attended St. John Lutheran School for first and part of second grade. A famous St. John’s graduate is Randy Brewer, a former NBA player.
In 1977 Mr. Gosdeck moved to Stillwater, MN and attended Salem Lutheran School from second through eighth grade. He was confirmed on May 6, 1984. His first year of high school was spent at Martin Luther Preparatory School in Prairie Du Chien, WI where he lived in a dorm and learned how to swim really well in the indoor pool. The last three years of high school were spent at Northwestern Preparatory School in Watertown, WI. In 1993, Mr. Gosdeck completed his fifth year of training at Martin Luther College in New Ulm, MN, receiving a bachelor’s degree in education with a focus in physical education.
Mr. Gosdeck was married to Mrs. Sarah Gosdeck in the summer of 1998. At that time, he served as 6th grade teacher and athletic director at Crete Lutheran School in Crete, IL. In the spring of 2001 Mr. Gosdeck received and accepted a Call to serve at St. Lucas Lutheran Church and School in Kewaskum, WI. From 2001-2015 he served as the third and fourth grade teacher, Cross Country and Track & Field coach, and technology director.
In the summer of 2015 Mr. Gosdeck moved to Green Bay where he served as interim principal for a year. He now serves as the 4th grade teacher and continues as technology director. Mr. and Mrs. Gosdeck have two daughters, Jordan, a sophomore at FVL and Autumn, a freshman at FVL. The family enjoys being involved with the St. Mark ministries.
